Reflexology, reiki & hot stone massages

When traditional medicine fails to be of use when it comes to your physical and/or mental problems, complementary treatments might provide a solution.

I have studied several of those therapies, including reflexology, reiki, ear candling and hot stone massages.

Treatments according to your needs

Tailored to your individual body and mind, I will select the appropriate treatment and put you completely at ease. Below, you can read more about the aforementioned forms of therapy and their corresponding prices:

Foot reflexology

In addition to specialised foot care, I am familiar with (foot) reflexology. I treat painful areas on your hands or feet by stimulating and massaging your nerves. That way, I stimulate your blood flow and circulation, since your nerves are connected to your organs and other parts of the body.

I dissolve existing obstructions and reduce your physical and/or mental issues such as insomnia, stress, sadness, allergies and metabolic problems. In short: I free your body and mind of any physical and emotional ‘waste’.

Finger reflexology

Finger reflexology is an excellent method to get physical and emotional problems under control. During a reflexology session, I touch your fingers and have a conversation with you at the same time. We then, for example, discuss where and when certain triggers (re)surfaced in your life and how they led to your current problems.

Typically, unprocessed emotions tend to accumulate and form obstructions, weakening your immune system and making you ill. To bring back a healthy balance, I use in-depth conversation techniques to stimulate your brain and improve your confidence. Doom-mongering will soon become a thing of the past and you will get a more positive outlook regarding the future.

I can apply finger reflexology to significantly reduce:

complementaire therapieen reiki

Reiki

A gentle healing method with meditative power that makes up for your lack of universal life energy? That is reiki. Through that treatment, (traumatic) experiences come to the surface in order for us to return them to the cosmos and make you feel liberated. Strong emotions leave scars on our soul, which reiki locates, fills and heals.

The meaning of the word speaks for itself: ‘rei’ means divine, ‘ki’ means power. That name refers to the power with which God and Buddha make people whole again. During a Reiki session, I exchange energy with you and use touch to release negative emotions. You will soon experience positive thoughts as well as feelings of happiness.

Ear candling

Ear candling is an ancient and painless practice originating from the Hopi Indians. Those people used candles to heal others and to expel negative thoughts. They made the candles from beeswax and medicinal herbs.

They then placed a funnel-shaped instrument in the ear canal and burned the candle. The burning caused vibrations in the eardrum, which massaged it and simultaneously relaxed the nose, throat, ears and head. Ideal for brooders!

Ear candling can have a healing effect on:

complementaire therapieen japanse massage

Japanese massage

A Japanese massage is a relaxing and natural way of massaging, in which I apply pressure with my fingers and make stroking movements. The massage technique is actually a facial massage that targets all your muscles, from the top of your head to your neck, and stimulates your acupuncture points and energy pathways.

After I have massaged you, I can perform a lymphatic drainage as well. That procedure removes all remaining toxins from your body and gives your skin a fresh and young look. Additional benefits of a Japanese massage are that your immune system is re-balanced and any tension in your neck will naturally disappear.

complementaire therapieen hot stone

Hot stone massage

Hot stone massage is a concept the ancient Greek and Roman societies, as well as the Incas and the Indians, were already familiar with. Hot stones were used to prevent and cure diseases. In the vicinity of Stonehenge, in Asia and India in particular, the stones were a precursor to acupuncture.

Hot stones are basalt stones that consist of solidified lava and are rich in iron. That is why they hold onto heat well and only slowly release their warmth. In popular speech, they are also called energetic stones, because they contain all basic elements (water, fire, earth and wind).

During a hot stone massage, I combine intuitive massaging, thermotherapy and aromatherapy. I always work with a warm and aromatic oil, which has an intense effect and reduces the stress hormone cortisol. That way, your body will recover faster and your body, mind and soul will become one.
